The Morrocan Society of Biologists BIOMATEC-Belgium was founded in 1992 to facilitate the contact between moroccan biology researchers and Ph.D. students, to contribute to the promotion of the growth and development of biology, to encourage and publish research in biology, and to promote the interests and growth of moroccan scientists in general.
Over one decade the society has evolved and expanded to provide a forum for biology as well as to serve as a link between Moroccan biologists and public and private institution either in Morocco or in Belgium. Biomatec launchd the publication of the young but respected News Letter Biomatec Echo. Biomatec Membership spans all the belgian universities, our former members are even present over the six continents, and these members work in such diverse areas as academia, government laboratories, and industrial and commercial environments. Biomatec plays a key role in uniting the international moroccan scientists in order to promote collaboration and coperation to morocan biology development. Biomatec is collboratiog with other sisters and similar societies either in Belgium or all over the world. Biomatec is also running in collaboration with other moroccan societies scientific forums, namely mabiol for biology and Fdmabl for scientists working and studying in Belgium.
