Need opinions about life in US or West of Canada

Hi everybody,

I have been living in Quebec for almost 7 years now, and i have to say that i am having enough of the life here. Really enough. I wanna move to US or at least to the West of Canada.
Why do i have enough, will you ask?
Well, for many reasons. First i emigrated to Canada mostly for my career. Today this word doesnt mean much to me because of the hidden discrimination that most immigrants have to face at work. You can be the best in what you are doing, you will always be put aside because you are not a pure breed quebecer.
Also, the local people are very cold, uneducated, boring and very full of themselves. They will even snob you if you speak better french than them.
What else? Weather is crappy. But hey, i will better stop here because the list is long.
I really need a change. A positive change. However, i dont wanna jump anywhere before making sure i wont regret it.
I would appreciate a lot if you guys or girls will relate your experiences in US or Ontario or Alberta of wherever.

You could try living in Ontario or BC (Vancouver), life there is more expensive than in Quebec, but it's near of US and you could find better for your career (specially if you got a canadian diploma).
