what better way to die than dying while trying to free people from oppression and trying to give them freedom to live with dignity as free human beings as god meant it to be when he created them and not as slaves, servants and subjects as some pseudo-arab or islamist leaders made them become.
iraq was occupied by the baatist dictorship regime of Saddam and his cronies for more than 25 years and no one opened his mouth, now that the people of that country are finally free, some are turning the subject into a war between islam and america.
iraq one day will not only be a free country with real democracy, but it will become the economic super-power of the middle east.
remember my words...
may his soul rest in peace
maybe one day we will be talking about him as the first Moroccan American to die while serving his country USA.
happy 4th of july.

I don't think people in Irak would agree with you. This war was for oil, nothing more nothing less, the freedom speech is just for people who need to believe they're killing innocent people for a good reason.

how did you come to the conclusion that people in irak don't like the overthrow of the saddam regime?
most irakis are better off today than they were the day before the american invasion.
but there is a price to pay if you really want freedom.
as for oil, the world's economy is based on the prices of oil and as long as there is instability in that region, that part of the world would get invaded.

and how did you come to the conclusion that people in irak are "finally free" after the overthrow of the saddam regime?

yeaaaah sure, 100 deaths per day, this is really better. Sexual harrassment in abou ghreib, that's also better....and what about security? they're really in security in the markets, in the mosques, in schools, when they don't blow up. If being better off you mean to thank God that you're still alive each morning, I don't think we have the same definition of "better off".

but there is a price to pay if you really want freedom.
Let people of Irak decide by themselves if they really want to pay that price. Otherwise, someone can go to the states, blow up everything, spread terror and argue that "there is a price to pay to overthrow Bush, since he started at the white house, war is everywhere, lies are common order and nobody feels secure". It's easy to talk about a price when it's the other who pay, it's easy to say all I did was for freedom when hundreds of people are dying every day, and you can do is to feel sorry for the collateral victims. It's easy, but are you ready to have a war (a real was) IN your country? having those collateral victimes from your owns. Can you say to an american mother who would loose her children "that's normal, there is a price to pay"?...................don't think so.

The fight for freedom is something only Irakis can claim, work for, and die for.............when they're ready to. No one should have to decide when it's time to interfer in the destiny of a nation. The states did, and they're still lucky the war is only "a one-side war", things would've been different if civil americans (like irakies) were to suffer form this war.

so now you're saying that oil is a reason for invading a country............that's a change from the freedom speech
