This was email sent to me from a friend of mine in Uzbekistan

It's horrible. We heard about these kind of things in Tashkent. I have friends who are journalists, and they used to write articles about Jaksylik prison and people who were suspected as members of Hizb ut Takhrir. People in Uzbekistan are under the pressure and can't say much, although everyone knows what's happening in the country. That's one of the reasons why I moved to Kazakhstan. And everytime I visit Uzbekistan I can see that situatation there is getting worse and worse. Poor people. But I know that Uzbek people are very patient and tolarent. They've been waiting 10 years hoping that thing will improve there. I feel very sorry for Uzbeks. It's really sad. When I lived in Uzbekistan I could see the fear in people's eyes, when they see policemen. "Never argue, never fight with police" was a rule. And people who tried to change that somehow, were arrested. I love Uzbekistan, It's such a beautiful country and people there are so friendly and hospitable. Things could have been much better.
