I think english model is better than the french one, As you said, people in Britain are more tolerant and open-minded.

Regarding the social side, i don't think England is much worse.

I think England is more convenient to young and hard-working people looking for dynamic experiences with high salaries, when France is more convenient to older people looking perhaps for stability.

Even if, in reality, both are now countries where it's difficult to live because of the economic crisis !
