Dear bladis
I am having enormous difficulties trying to reach our Consulate General in NY. NOBODY seems to be answering the phone, at anytime, not even an operator that'd normally answer general questions. I called the embassy in DC to inquire within, and a lady informed that I HAVE TO TRY CALLING THEM ALL DAY, EVERY 15 MINUTES. I could not beleive what I've heard. I don't understand what level and quality of service our consulate is providing us. What if it was an emergency call?!!

Who is in charge of all this? Who can help? How can we get these guys to provide the highest quality of service?!!

Sorry to hear that, but here in Montreal, Canada, the consulate is providing us a really great service. I was really impressed when I went there for the very first time in 1997. The fact of the matter is I went back there a few years later and I found that the service quality ain't changed at all, even during Ramadan's time.

I had the same problem with the moroccan ambassy in Canada, the best thing to do is to start calling at 8:30 A.M. (NY time). Phones are not busy normally at that time.
