Music is very different...there is a lot of west indies influences here and i am not used to it (plus i don't like it) since it's practically non-existent in the US scene. amazed that's quite a strong word....surprised maybe. No no, amazed is the right word ... I've been living in London for well over 6 years now and this is the first time I "hear" such comments. Been to NY as well ... I think both cities are pretty much alike. |

![]() so far London seems much less frenetic and more manageable. a lot of this has to do with the lack of skyscrapers i think, but just as a whole, London is much less intimidating than NY. and the London subway is cleaner but waaaaaaaaaaay underground. London is very hectic ... just wait and see. 24 hours are simply not enough in a day ![]() The London Underground is not that clean, it stinks, it's hot and it's always experiencing delays. Just so you know ... |

I agree on the underground although i travel on the district line which is not underground and the trains are a lot wider and cleaner. You do even get nice views for some destinations i.e. Wimbledon. ![]() As for the food, i think London has come a long way in the last decade or so as its cuisine started to emerge from the darkness and the public are more open to other tastes but you could easily notice that the dominant culture is Asia, wether it's Chinese, Thai or Indian. Anything else is considered upper class and is usually not accessible to the average person. |
