Lennon song give a pejorative view of irish history because his verses are hard. ireland is plunged in a total despair. but the singer can denounces society of ireland througout this song.

"Well it was Sunday Bloody Sunday
When they shot the people down
The cries of 13 martyrs "

songs talk about same event, "sunday bloody sunday" (in 1972, inLondonderry). These song denounce the vision of horor and sigerswant english leave Ireland for the Irish.

john lennon song's:
- He's angry with english. for him, ireland must belong irish
U2 song's:
-He denounces most clearly the society in ireland. he's fed up with viokence and he seaks a reconciliation of two sides.

I think U2 song's it's better adapted to trnsmit a message to people and I prefer this song.
